Cavaliers Step Up In The Second Half To Beat The Trail Blazers 104-99

CLEVELAND- The Cavaliers were looking to stop the bleeding and end a two game losing streak as the Trail Blazers came into the Q with out the star center Greg Oden after losing him to a season ending knee injury. This was figured to be a match up that would favor the Cavaliers to be able to get back on track and get a win before going on the road.
In the first half the Portland Trail Blazers out scored the Cavaliers 54-45. The Cavaliers looked as they had in the last two games and some big adjustment needed made. In the second half it was a totally different story as they Cavaliers outscored the Trial Blazers 59-45 and putting an end to their losing streak with a 104-99 victory.
“Our will in the second half, led by LeBron James, has to become a habit for us”, said coach Mike Brown, “It has to be our identity for 48 minutes. That’s something that myself and LeBron need to capture. The will we showed in the second half is who we want to become, simple as that.”
LeBron James led the way with 33 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assist, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal. Anderson Varejao had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals. Shaquille O’Neal had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Mo Williams had 14 points, 10 assist and 3 rebounds.
The Cavaliers look to start a new winning streak as the travel to Oklahoma to take on the Thunder Sunday. Tip off is at 7:00
