Summer League: Highlights And Let Downs

LAS VEGAS- The short Summer League in Las Vegas came to a end when the Cavs lost to the Detroit Pistons 92-86 to end the Summer League with a 1-4 record. Their only win came against the Dallas Mavericks Thursday when they defeated them 75-62.
Danny Green, second round pick, started to Summer league off well but then seemed to struggle a bit averaging 8.8 points and 2.6 rebounds with only 39 percent shooting. Green said, “It was a good learning experience. I’m trying to work my way in and get comfortable with the NBA scheme. There’s camps and the rookie transition that they want me to go to, but we’ll see what happens.”
Christian Eyenga, first round pick, Got off to a slow start, mostly due to that fact he couldn’t understand anyone. Eyenga only speaks french. After the first two games Danny Ferry got a translator for Eyenga and nothing but good things happened from there. He averaged 8.8 points and 2.2 rebounds with 47 percent shooting. He showed incredible athleticism during his time at Summer League. Eyenga said “It has been a great experience because there are so many good players. It will make me better.”
I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to training camp.
